Miss SA 2011

Was in Sun City this weekend to watch the Miss SA pageant with fellow Mr SA Finalist  and friend Mohammad. 12 Stunning girls and the competition was very tough.... My favorite  was definitely Caylene Marais who in my personal opinion was one of the strongest contestants all round!! Well done to Melinda Bam who walked away with the title ;)

Reaching out to the Community!

Great day spending with the people of the local community and Rugby club.
Explaining to them the importance of living a balanced healthy lifestyle!

FACE OF SUMMER - WINNER

The FACE OF SUMMER TOP MODEL SEARCH 2011 overall winner Chantal le Roux chosen by M1 Model Management! Miss SA Campus 2011

Last night was the National final for the Miss SA Campus 2011 and i helped out with the judging.

Was a great evening at Wilgenhof Stellenbosch. Die Heuwels Fantasties and Thieve was the two bands at the venue. Congratz to the winners (Marlie Jonker & Pamela Mandloe ndlovu)

They will represent SA at the World Miss University & Miss Africa!

Mr & Miss Fitness SA 2011

Many months of hard work, training and dieting is all over....
What an amazing experience it was competing in SA biggest Fitness show.
This year all the line-ups was very tough as the standard of athletes conditioning gets better and better.

Friday the 16th of September was pre-judging and i competed in the Model Plus division.
We where 33 guys in the line-up.

The Top10 guys went through to the final the Saturday night.
I made it to the Top 10 but unfortunately didn't place in Top 3 the final night.
I won The BEST MODEL LOOK prize which i'm really chuffed about and finished 4th overall..

Met amazing new people who are all passionate about the health & fitness industry in South Africa.
I've learned alot and gained immense amount of confidence, so next year i'll be back BIGGER AND STRONGER ;)
                                                

Mr & Miss International Academy of Fitness, Health & Skincare 2011

On the 6  of September 2011 the International Academy  hosted their annual Mr & Miss International Academy.

I was invited to be a judge (Represented my Sponsor USN )at this glamorous event and It was a fantastic evening full of entertainment.

Some of the judges where Werner Arendse from Bok Radio, Cindy Koen (Miss Western Cape 2011) and Belinda Oberholster (M1 Model Management).

The night was a huge success!

The contestants  receive various prizes - product hampers; 5-star hotel stay; wine; safari trips; spa vouchers; make-over packages and designer brand clothing.

Well done to the winners Luwazi and Esmerie!!

The Chrysalis Foundation offers a life skills course for girls from 14 to 18 who have been physically and mentally traumatised, and are vulnerable in their communities including those living in children's homes and places of safety. The purpose of the course is to uplift, educate and equip the girls to not only be in a position to cope with the crime perpetrated against them, but to also enable them to reach their full potential.

The main focus of the lectures is to impart knowledge and life skills to the students, but vital therapeutic elements have been incorporated into the lecture modules to address the trauma and the psychological damage done to the girls. The results obtained to date have been phenomenal, and have been a life-changing experience for the 1200 girls involved.

The course is managed by a group of volunteer-businesswomen, and the lecturers are acknowledged experts in their fields of endeavor. Each course is comprised of 16 lecture modules presented over 3 months, as well as skills-building group activities, educational and cultural excursions, and takes place under the guidance of psychologists and social workers.
Once the students have successfully completed the course with both its practical and therapeutic benefits there are a series of ongoing skills-development courses and practical work experience opportunities available to them.
